As you might be aware, Chez Vous specializes in catering milestone birthday parties. Whether parents are throwing their baby a first birthday party or someone’s spouse is being surprised by a 50th birthday party, we’ve got the perfect menu and all of the party supplies necessary for a memorable event.
Recently, we were honored to cater the 105th birthday party of Staten Island resident, Margaret Riccardi. Now, it’s not very often that you get to pick the brain of an honest-to-goodness centenarian, so we took the opportunity to ask what it takes to live over 100 years. Margaret’s answer didn’t disappoint.
So, what does it take to live over a century? According to Margaret, there are two simple steps that need to be taken each day. The first thing that you’ll need to do daily is drink a half of a glass of red wine. Second, you’ll need to do what you love, each and every day. For Margaret, that thing is art, she’s both a painter and a sculptor. She creates sculptures in wood, plaster, soapstone, marble and Italian alabaster.
Believe it or not you can find Margaret’s work online at ricciardigallery.com.
