Planning a wedding is historically known to be one of the most stressful things a person can do. You have to pick who will be your bridesmaids or groomsman and without fail, there will always be people you have no choice but to leave out. There is a tremendous amount of things you need to organize in order for you to have the wedding of your dreams. One of the biggest pieces of the wedding puzzle is finding a venue for your reception.
There are tons of places out there for you to choose from; it all depends on what type of style you enjoy. Edgewater Hall in Staten Island comes with more than a couple of choices you can choose from. There’s the Cellar, which has more of a gritty speakeasy feel. The first floor is a Victorian ballroom. The second floor is a mansion-style loft. And lastly, the third floor has an Industrial vibe going to it.
You have the choice of any of the four floors and you can choose whichever best suits your preferences. You can host more than 300 wedding guests if you decide you’d like to rent out the entire building, which is possible! The building also features rooftop and patio space for your enjoyment.
On top of having more than a few choices, Edgewater Hall also comes with a nice piece of history. This Staten Island landmark was first built in the year 1876 as the original location for Staten Island Savings Bank. Following that, it was utilized as a speakeasy during the Prohibition Era, which was frequented by the Barrymores and the Vanderbilts. The building was also used as a set for Mike Birbiglia’s Sleepwalk With Me.
The building features exposed brick walls, tin ceilings, a glass-enclosed porch, solid oak floors, and authentic French doors; everything one might need to host a memorable wedding reception.
