Chez Vous played host to the The Downtown Staten Island Council this past Tuesday night at Edgewater Hall as the organization celebrated it’s best and brightest. Diane Savino served as the master of ceremonies as Downtown Staten Island’s finest came together to go over the issues. The DSIC’s 2009 annual meeting and holiday reception highlighted the resurgence of downtown Staten Island, issued lifetime achievement awards (to James P. Molinaro, Thomas A. Paulo, and Leticia Remauro) discussed the St. George Courthouse and Ferry Retail space amongst other topics.
“Within the span of an hour at the DSIC holiday party, I was able to connect with two potential new clients, planted the seeds for a new collaboration, met one of my new Victory Blvd neighbors, had a mini-meeting 3 months overdue & laughed with the man responsible for one of my favorite street photographs. ” said local photographer Mike Shane who utilized the event as a networking opportunity “Staten Island is already a small world; gatherings like this make it even smaller, in the best possible way!”
